3M Scotch Hazardous Area Straight Cable Joints

3M Scotchcast Hazardous Area joint kits include the new flame-retardant, hydrocarbon-resistant, halogen-free 1402F-R resin packs.

These 3M resin joints are designed for use with both single-core and multi-core armoured power cables up to 3.3kV. Featuring a totally enclosed resin mixing system which is suitable for use in areas of high soil contamination and ATEX-rated Hazardous Areas.

The LVI-3 Hazardous Area resin joint kit replaces the traditional LR-range and is designed for use with both compression splice and some mechanical connectors, the two smallest joints LVI-3/2C and LVI-3/3C being supplied with mechanical connectors to suit multi-core cables.

Each 3M Hazardous Area joint kit comprises of: two-part transparent mould, 1402FR resin pack/s, armour continuity stocking, constant force spings, Scotch T2319 self-amalgamating tape, phase spacer web and full installation instructions.
