IEC61111:2009 Rubber Switchgear Matting
Fine-ribbed rubber electrical safety matting designed to meet the IEC61111:2009 specification, primarily used to line the floors of LV switchrooms.
Manufactured from higher-quality material than the traditional BS921 rubber matting, enabling a thinner profile to offer the same insulation qualities and thereby providing less of an operator trip hazard.
Available from stock in BLACK, standard coil length is 10 metres (+/- 5%) and can also cut to specific lengths. Please contact our Sales Team with your requirements.
IEC6111:2009 rubber matting is available in five voltage classes/thicknesses:
- Class 0: 3.0mm minimum thickness – For general-purpose Low Voltage (LV) use.
- Class 1: 3.0mm minimum thickness – For general-purpose use up to 7.5kV.
- Class 2: 4.0mm minimum thickness – For Medium Voltage (MV) use up to 17kV.
- Class 3: 4.5mm minimum thickness – For Medium Voltage (MV) use up to 26.5kV.
- Class 4: 5.0mm minimum thickness – For Medium Voltage (MV) use up to 36kV.
IEC6111:2009 switchgear matting is also available to special order in GREY and in a selection of vibrant colours to match the voltage-class colour scheme.
The underside of each IEC61111 mat is marked at 1000mm intervals with a colour-coded label denoting the voltage-class and rating.
