Exothermic Welding Materials
Exothermic welding materials provide superior, molecularly bonded connections which are far superior to traditional connectors. Primarily used for welding copper connections, it is nonetheless useful for welding a wide range of metals.
The Benefits of Exothermic Welding.
An exothermic weld offers incredible mechanical strength and excellent corrosion resistance, along with being highly stable when subjected to repeated short-circuit pulses. Furthermore, it will not suffer from increased electrical resistance over the course of a lifetime of the installation.
This method can be expensive; requiring a supply of replaceable moulds and this type of welding can also be affected by bad weather, however, many people feel the benefits vastly outweigh the drawbacks.
ETS Cable Components stock a wide selection of exothermic welding materials and systems, including those from nVent ERICO Cadweld, which produce welding material alloys and sizes engineered to provide the ultimate welded connection for grounding, bonding, and power applications.
Our nVent ERICO Cadweld exothermic welding materials include a range of XF-19 Metals that can withstand extremely high temperatures and pre-sealed weld metal powders for use with copper, mild-steel and stainless steel metals.
Originally developed in 1983, nVent ERICO Cadweld exothermic welding metals are sold for highly competitive prices at ETS Cable Components: a UK stockist and distributor of an extensive range of power cable accessories from top brands.
