Cable Glands
Since ETS Cable Components was formed in 1988, one of our main strengths is the quality of cable glands that we supply as well as the stocks we hold, in many sizes for different applications.

ETS have been supplying CMP Cable Glands for over 30 years and we are now the leading UK supplier of their products. We supply leading contractors which carry out full electrical installation packages on major projects, some of which are high profile and critical infrastructure buildings. It’s therefore imperative, that we supply products which are more than just ‘fit for purpose’ and they must be engineered to the highest standards, which is why we only work with leading manufacturers such as CMP products.
CMP holds a variety of different third-party accreditations and certification for industrial, marine and explosive atmosphere applications, which includes ATEX, IECEx, UL and CSA certification. They are also certified by a wide range of certification bodies around the world enabling it to provide quality assured products complying with various technical standards
In recent years, there have been an increasing amount of ‘value engineered’ cable glands available and of particular concern are those purporting to be ‘LSF’ cable Glands. Manufacturers such as CMP only supply genuine LSF Halogen Free products and as such, in an event of a fire their products will not release halogen when burning which is a harmful toxin.
ETS are authorised to carry out CMP Cable Gland installation training which will covers correct gland selection for specific applications, best practice in Cable Gland installation & inspection methods and will help identify potential Gland & cable compatibility issues.

Here is a short video of a CMP shroud vs one from ‘value engineered’ cable gland products which will show the differences in the type of smoke emitted.
