3M ColdShrinkTM cable abandonment kits are supplied in complete kit form to enable to abandonment of un-screened power cables (up to 3.3kV), either temporarily or permanently.

Suitable for use on the following cable types:

  • XLPE/PVC Insulated
  • Lead Sheath
  • Aluminium Wire Armour (AWA)
  • Steel Wire Armour (SWA)
  • PVC Sheathed
  • Rubber/GSWB
  • Unarmoured

The CSCAK kits are tested for use in Zone 1 and Zone 2 ATEX Hazardous Areas.

Each 3M abandonment kit compromises of: Cold Shrink end cap and Permanent Sealing Tube, copper braid, tinned copper mesh tape, constant force spring, Scotch 2228 mastic tape, Scotchfil putty, Scotch 23 self-amalgamatin tape and full installation instructions.
