3M Scotchcast Hazardous Area pilot joint kits include flame-retardant, hydrocarbon-resistant, halogen-free 1402F-R resin packs.

The resin joints are designed for use with both multi-pair or multi-core SWA armoured control and instrumentation cables. This new product features a unique hinged mould body and totally enclosed resin mixing system, suitable for use in areas of high soil contamination and ATEX-rated Hazardous Areas.

The LV3/-IC Hazardous Area joint replace the former LR-range and is designed for use with both compression splices or insulation displacement connectors (IDCs), which are supplied as separate items.

  • High-performance 2-part polyurethane 1402F-R Hazardous Area resin system.
  • Suitable for use with SWA armoured cables.
  • Transparent flame retardant mould bodys.

      • Each resin pilot joint kit order reference includes: Two-part transparent mould, 1402FR resin pack/s, armour continuity stocking, constant force springs, Scotch T2319 self-amalgamating tape and joint installation instructions.
