E1W Weatherproof Aluminium Cable Glands

Aluminium CMP E1W cable glands are suitable for use with aluminium wire armoured (AWA) cables for either indoor or outdoor environments, the weatherproof gland provides an IP66 seal to both the cable’s inner and outer sheath. A variant is also available, Type E1Y, to suit aluminium strip (ASA) cables.

Mechanical armour wire retention and electrical continuity of the AWA is provided by an armour cone and separate clamping ring, which allows for easy removal of the gland body for testing without disturbing the clamping arrangement. Metric male threads are rated at IP54, which can be increased to IP66 with a nylon thread washer.

CMP E1W glands are manufactured from high quality aluminium alloy grade BS1474/1 6082/HE30.

E1W gland kits contain gland, short-circuit tested aluminium earthtag, aluminium locknut and PVC shroud. Largest thread forms are available, contact our Sales Team for more details.
