Hawke 501/453/UNIVERSAL Brass Flameproof (ATEX) Cable Glands
The Hawke 501/453 weatherproof & flameproof cable gland is dual-certified (ATEX/IECEx) for use within Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 21 and Zone 22 Hazardous Areas.
The 501/453/UNIVERSAL gland provides an IP66 environmental seal on the cable inner and outer sheaths. IP66/67/68 seals feature throughout the gland construction and a uniform hexagon profile to enable easy installation.
A reversible UNIVERSAL armour clamp enables the gland to be used with all armoured cable types: steel tape armoured (STA), wire braided and steel wire armoured (SWA). The gland also features a UNIVERSAL diaphragm-type seal onto the cable inner sheath and deluge boot protecting the gland-mating thread.
Standard IP54 entry thread rating can be improved to IP66 with the use of a entry thread washer.
