Prysmian F70612-52 Bicaseal Solid Setting Putty
The Prysmian Bicaseal putty is a two-party putty that can be used for sealing, repairing, jointing, insulation and waterproofing a variety of materials including metal, wood, glass, ceramics and some plastics.
The putty consists of resin and hardener which, when mixed in equal parts (until a uniform colour is formed), may be moulded around terminals and connections or used to mechanically seal any form of enclosure, conduit box or cable gland. The resultant compound then hardens to form a tough, resilient bond onto the worked material which can be drilled, tapped, filed or cut.
Bicaseal solid setting putty resists water permeation and is unaffected by dilute acids and alkalis in liquid or vapour form. It has no deleterious effects on metals, plastic, natural or synthetic rubber, PVC or most other polymeric cable insulation.
Suitable for capping the ends of metal or PVC sheath cables and for sealing the interstices of multi-core cables, thus providing a moisture barrier.
Sold in 500g packs.
