3M Brown PVC phase identification tape. The Temflex 1500 tapes are a good quality, general purpose PVC insulation tape with a good resistance to abrasion, moisture, acids, alkalis and weather.

General applications for the Brown 3M electrical tape include primary insulation for wire and cable joints and repairs as well as the harnessing of wire and cables. Suitable for indoor and outdoor applications.

BICCON X Oxide Inhibiting Paste

The Prysmian BICCON X oxide-inhibiting, electrical joint compound is designed to prevent galvanic corrosion and to enhance the connections within electrical joints. The BXI joint compound can be used at any interface between different metals to prevent oxide build up.

The inhibiting paste is especially effective and preventing oxide build up when used on copper to aluminium and aluminium to aluminium cable joints.

BICON BX1 is available in a 225g tube, 3kg bucket or fully-synthetic version.

3M STFF Joint Protection Sleeve

The LUL-approved 3M Smoke, Toxicity, Flame and Fume Protection Joint Sleeve (STFF) is made up of layers of woven glass fabric and high temperature silica to enable flame retardancy, and prevention of smoke and toxic fumes. The joint shield is designed for use with all single and three-core polymeric cold shrink joints up to 33kV, as well as LV cable abandonment applications.

The STFF Sleeve will allow the installation and use of standard joints and accessories in LUL Section 12 areas where only limited fire hazard products are suitable, or any environment where a flame-retardant, halogen-free, low-toxicity product is required. Variants of the 3M STFF joint sleeve include: standard sleeve for cable joints, a closed-end sleeve for cable abandonment applications as well as a retrofit wrap to wrap around joints that have already been installed.

  • Compliant with London Underground Engineering Standard 1-085. Product Approval List No: 1106
  • Network PADS Approved Product: PA05/04396
  • Smoke Emissions and Toxic Fume Emission testing has been carried out to BS EN50268-2:2000 and BS 6853:1999 Annex B.2 respectively.
