Highways Agency Aluminium Cable Glands

Weatherproof aluminium cable gland for use with all PVC sheathed aluminium wire armour (AWA) cables. Each aluminium gland provides an IP66 environmental seal on the cable outer and inner sheaths and three part armour wire termination.

Each cable gland is approved for use by The Highways Agency (HA) for installation within road information signs and motorway lighting throughout the UK road network. The gland can also be used in commercial and industrial applications where termination space is limited.

The gland entry thread protection rating is IP54, which can be increased to IP66 with the use of an entry thread washer.

Order reference includes on Highways Agency gland, aluminium locknut, aluminium earthtag and PVC gland shroud.

M40 Highways Agency Approved Aluminium Cable Gland Kit

Aluminium weatherproof cable gland with M40 male thread. Suitable for use on all PVC sheathed AWA cables. IP66 environmental seal is provided on the cable inner and outer sheath and three part armour wire termination.

Each aluminium gland is approved by The Highways Agency for installation within motorway lighting and information signs through the UK. The E1WHAK M40 gland is also suitable for use in commercial and industrial environments where termination space is limited.

Standard entry thread protection rating of IP54. IP66 ratings can be obtained with the use of an entry thread washer.

  • Outside diameter Max: 40.6mm
  • Inside diameter Min: 24.0mm
